Summary/Objective
 
We are currently seeking a Water Jet Operator to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to interface with multiple facets of the business including client services, services, sales, marketing and manufacturing. 

Space/Craft Worldwide Inc. manufactures window displays for high-end retailers. We are offering a terrific growth opportunity to become a Water Jet Operator in a new, fast growing, visual design firm in Edgewood, NY. Space/Craft Worldwide Inc. was born out of the need to engage physically with different materials and methods to cultivate gloriously engaging environments. Essential Functions 
· Responsible for programming, operating, and maintaining FLOW waterjet 
· Read and interpret engineering drawings/specs to produce parts 
· Adjust .dxf and cut files if needed within the waterjet software 
· Maintain inventory of metal sheet goods 
· Replace tubes, nozzles and other components as needed 
· Comply with internal quality checks 
· Understand mechanics of Waterjet including high-pressured water system, pumps, and motors 
· Applicant must be able to solve problems that arise in a manufacturing environment without direct supervision while also performing as part of a team 

Education and Experience 
· High School Diploma or equivalent 
· 1-2 years’ experience operating similar setup 
· Ability to safely lift, load, and unload material from manufacturing equipment 
· Have general understanding of basic machine shop equipment and its safe operation . 

Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities 
· General math skills required – ability to read/use calipers 
· Grasp instructions quickly 
· Responsible/efficient employee 
· Ability to operate overhead crane/forklift 

Hours 
This is a full-time position. Flexible hours are required with occasional overtime.
